The First Meeting of NEXCEL Technical Advisory Committee

On January 11, 2022, the first meeting of NEXCEL Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) was held in Beijing. 22 experts from China and Saudi Arabia attended the conference on-site or via video.
Waleed Al-Otaibi (video), Steering Committee Chairman of NEXCEL& Head of Nonmetallic PMO & Engineering of Saudi Aramco, expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of NEXCEL and the convening of the TAC first working meeting, and hoped that the TAC and Saudi Aramco would jointly promote the program development in the future cooperation, as well as accelerate the application of non-metallic materials in the field of building and construction.
Dr. Li Juan, the Program Director of NEXCEL, introduced the vision, mission and program operation mechanism. The meeting clarified the responsibilities of the TAC and the work plan for 2022. The TAC members had an in-depth discussion on the requirements of program guideline and the Report on current status of R&D of non-metallic materials in building and construction sector.
The TAC will give full play on the role of a high-level think tank and promote the high-quality development of NEXCEL.
