Dr. Li Juan congratulated Mr. Mohammed N. Al-Mulhim on his new position, and welcomed the visit of the Aramco Asia team. She made a general introduction of NEXCEL operation and progress in the first eight months of this year. She especially introduced in detail NEXCEL's program management, Technical Advisory Committee work scheme, engagement with industry associations and stakeholders, as well as advocacy and promotion activities.
During the meeting, Professor Yao Yan put forward suggestions on NEXCEL Program Guideline, including optimizing formulation and review process, increasing funding for certain projects, and focusing on prioritized research topics, in order to gradually form a sound and efficient project management mechanism, and lead to outstanding project outcomes and engineering applications.
Mr. Mohammed N. Al-Mulhim fully recognizes NEXCEL's achievements since its establishment. He hopes that NEXCEL shall continue its role as an innovation incubation platform in promoting and advocating hydrocarbon-based nonmetallic projects, talent cultivation, and achievement transformation, by making full use of resources from CBMA and Saudi Aramco to promote sustainable technological innovations and applications of hydrocarbon-based nonmetallics in building and construction.
After the meeting, Aramco Asia paid a visit to CBMA exhibition room and National Key Laboratory on Green Building Materials.
