3D printing technology for construction
Overview
The complete set of 3D printing technology for construction includes 3D printing materials for construction, 3D printing robot system for construction and 3D printing on-site construction technology for construction in desert areas. The core patent of the technology won the Silver Award of the 48th Geneva International Invention Exhibition, and the results were recognized by the international community.
Technical performance and indicator
3D printing materials have the following advantages over traditional building materials:
(1) Large-scale consumption of recycled construction waste and desert sand and other regional materials, recycled solid waste usage ≥60%;
(2) Through the use of petroleum-based chemical functional materials, the water-binder ratio is less than 0.35, which is more than 20% water saving than traditional concrete;
(3) Through the preparation of petroleum-based chemical functional materials, the material flow is 190mm, and the printing opening time is 2h;
(4) The final strength of the material reached C60 grade, the mass loss of 300 freeze-thawing sessions was less than 3.4%, and the impermeability grade reached P14;
(5) Efficient maintenance technology can effectively prevent water loss in the range of 5-60℃, reduce the water consumption and workload of the maintenance process, and accelerate the development of strength.
3D printing robots and automatic reinforcement printing construction systems have the following advantages over other 3D printing equipment:
(1) The printing range can be designed: 6-axis industrial mechanical arm with telescopic arm, can achieve 7m printing height; walkable chassis design, so that horizontal printing range is not limited;
(2) Printing speed block: the maximum pumping flow of the efficient pumping mechanism is 50L/min, and the maximum printing speed is 500mm/s, which can be quickly completed in a hot and harsh environment;
(3) High printing accuracy: six-axis industrial robot arm and image processing unit, so that repeated positioning accuracy is ±0.03mm, printing error is less than 5mm;
(4) A variety of nozzle specifications: can use 10-80mm various specifications of the nozzle, nozzle can choose round or square openings, suitable for different construction needs;
(5) The strength and toughness of printed concrete are high: the interfacial tensile strength of 3D printed concrete is ≥3.5MPa, the interfacial shear strength is ≥10MPa, the fracture failure is ductile failure and non-brittle failure, and the safety of printed building structure is high;
(6) The printing concrete reinforcement process is fully automated: it overcomes the problems of poor reinforcement effect and low automation level existing in the existing 3D printing manual reinforcement, realizes automatic longitudinal reinforcement, and has good reinforcement and toughening effect;
(7) Efficient mixing system: with dry mixing, mixing, pumping functions, can mix 500L concrete within 15min, to achieve with the use of mixing, to prevent material solidification affect the printing effect;
(8) High automation and integration: the overall system includes printing, energy supply, control, discharge, flushing and other modules, only 2-3 people to operate.

Financial comparison
Compared with traditional concrete materials, this technology reduces the material cost by 20%. Compared with the traditional frame type or brick-concrete construction technology, the technology can reduce the transportation cost by 30-40%, reduce the labor cost by 50-60%, reduce the total cost by 30%, and reduce the carbon emissions by 40%.

Low-rise buildings: 1-3 floors can be used as residential, commercial or functional buildings.
Landscape facilities: urban sculpture, garden landscape, art walls, interior scenery, etc.
Municipal facilities: bus stops, public toilets, road guardrails, high-speed sound barriers, etc.
Military support areas: rapid barracks construction, border walls, obstacle avoidance facilities, military exercise facilities.
Special purpose building: emergency building, wind and sand barrier, coastal slope and berm construction.
Technical limitations
Before construction, the mix ratio of printing materials should be adjusted according to climatic conditions and local ground materials.
