Fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin composite reinforcement


Overview
Fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin composite reinforcement has the advantages of repeatable molding, high toughness, high durability, environmental friendliness and recyclability. It can replace steel or fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composite reinforcement. It is an important solution to cope with complex service environment, ensure long-term service safety and solve maintenance problems, and will greatly improve the service performance and life of the structure. To achieve the construction goal of "maintenance-free and less maintenance".

Technical performance and indicator
(1) Under the same volume, its weight is only 1/5-1/4 of the steel bar, which can reduce the construction difficulty and construction cost;
(2) Its tensile strength is 2-3 times that of rebar, its elastic modulus is similar to that of rebar, and it has better bearing performance;
(3) Stable chemical properties, not easy to corrosion, extend the service life of the component 20-30 years;
(4) Through the external heat source, it can be processed into different shapes and curvature of the reinforcement, and it does not need high-power shear, saving 50% of the construction time.

TRL8: Actual technology completed and qualified through test and demonstration

Financial comparison
The whole life cycle cost is about 60% of the traditional fiber reinforced thermosetting resin composite reinforcement.

Application areas
It can be used for high-performance bridge cables, ocean platform mooring cables, underground engineering anchors, etc.

Technical limitations
The use temperature of glass fiber reinforced polypropylene bar does not exceed 200℃; the use temperature of carbon fiber reinforced nylon tendon does not exceed 300℃; the use temperature of glass fiber reinforced polyacrylate bar does not exceed 180℃.

Deployment experience
In 2024, Fuzhou Kemen Port Wharf project, the diameter of fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin composite reinforcement is 12mm, and the dosage is more than 8,000 meters.
