Recently, composite rotary drum sail produced by Zhongfu Lianzhong, a subsidiary of CNBM, has shown excellent performance during navigation, demonstrating significant energy-saving and emission reductions, with obvious economic benefits. According to the agreement between Anemoi, Vale of Brazil and Asyad Shipping,  the five sets of rotary sails previously delivered have been installed on the 40,000-ton bulk carrier Sohar Max, making it the world's largest ship to utilize sail-assisted propulsion technology. Calculations indicate that this technology can help Sohar Max reduce energy consumption by 6% and lower carbon emissions by an average of 3,000 tons per year.
