NEXCEL and RILEM Signed International Partner Agreement (IPA)

Recently, NEXCEL and the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials Systems and Structures (RILEM) signed an International Partner Agreement (IPA), in order to share opportunities of research development, recommendation formulation, technological application and promotional activities in the field of nonmetallic materials. Prof. Nele De Belie, RILEM President, and Dr. Li Juan, Program Director of NEXCEL, signed this agreement on behalf of both parties.

Both sides will take the IPA signing as an opportunity to establish a long-term and stable cooperation mechanism, carry out cooperation in resource sharing, project developing, joint events and technical promotion, thus to expand and accelerate the excellence and engineering application in nonmetallic materials and construction.

RILEM

The International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials Systems and Structures (RILEM), was founded in June 1947, with the aim to promote scientific cooperation in the area of construction materials and structures.

Mission: The mission of RILEM is to advance free-access scientific knowledge related to construction materials, systems and structures and to encourage transfer and application of this knowledge world-wide.

Goals:

To promote sustainable and safe construction, and improved performance and cost benefit for society;
To stimulate new directions of research and its applications, promoting excellence in construction;
To favour and promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary cooperation at international scale by open access to advanced knowledge.
