On November 20, 2024, a delegation from Saudi Aramco and Aramco Asia visited NEXCEL and had in-depth exchanges on the promotion of project outcomes, engineering demonstrations, and the low-carbon development of nonmetallic materials in China. Mr. Bell James and Ms. Helen Ling, Lead Public Relations Representative from Saudi Aramco , Mr. Almutairi Yousef H, Vice President of Public Affairs from Aramco Asia participated in the exchange.
Dr. LI Juan, Program Director of NEXCEL, first introduced the projects funded by NEXCEL for meeting the challenges of global resource, energy and materials transformation. She emphasized that these project outcomes have been successfully applied in 11 provinces in China, and additionally, highlighted the application of FRP communication towers and GFRP rebars in Egypt and Vietnam. Furthermore, Dr. Li Juan also made suggestions on Saudi Aramco's advocacy plan in nonmetallic construction materials sector of China.
Through this in-depth exchange and discussion, the representatives of Saudi Aramco and Aramco Asia had a more comprehensive understanding of NEXCEL, and spoke highly of the project outcomes and application practices in the low-carbon development of nonmetallic materials. In the future, Both sides will continue to stay in close communication and collaboration, and jointly contribute to the promotion of nonmetallic materials in China.
