Mr. Mohammed Methel, Principal Professional with the Engineering Services of Saudi Aramco, member of NEXCEL TAC Task Force, gave a presentation entitled "Sustainable Construction Materials", in which he shared the use of chemical admixtures in Saudi Arabia, the United States and India, and pointed out that "increasing the amount of chemical admixtures can reduce the carbon emissions of concrete, save water, increase the service life of structures and reduce costs".

Prof. WANG Ziming from Beijing University of Technology gave a presentation entitled "Contribution of chemical admixtures to the low-carbon development of concrete". He introduced the current situation of carbon emissions and carbon reduction path in the concrete industry, key role of chemical admixtures for reducing the carbon emission of concrete industry, concrete carbon reduction technology path and carbon emission calculation, and listed the challenges and opportunities of concrete admixtures industry under the dual carbon goal.

In the salon/Q&A session, Prof. WANG Ling from CBMA, Vice President and Secretary General of China Concrete Admixtures Association,NEXCEL TAC member, introduced the developmen direction of concrete admixtures. The forum was successfully concluded with lively discussions. The diverse range of perspectives and research shared have undoubtedly enriched the understanding and application of concrete admixtures in sustainable construction practices and low-carbon development.
