Prof. Wang Yuhang from Chongqing University visits NEXCEL for exchange

On August 15, 2023, Prof Wang Yuhang, Deputy Dean of School of Civil Engineering (SCE) at Chongqing University and Prof. BaiJiulin, Deputy head of Structural Engineering Department of SCE visited NEXCEL and was warmly welcomed Dr. Li Juan, Program Director of NEXCEL. Both sides exchanged views on the application and potential of hydrocarbon-based materials in civil engineering sector. They also discussed further cooperation in project implementation, Ph.D scholarship program, forum organization, and other joint advocacy activities.
Firstly, Prof. Bai made a comprehensive introduction to SCE and highlighted a number of successes. Prof. Wang pointed out they were following closely the development and outcomes of NEXCEL. He stressed that NEXCEL funded projects are of great significance to universities, enterprises and Ph.D students involved. As an international platform in building and construction sector, NEXCEL has been dedicated to addressing existing challenges and mainstreaming nonmetallic materials by talent training, aware-raising activities, achievement transformation and so on. Meanwhile, leveraging the world-class resources and talented people, SCE looks forward to strengthening collaboration with NEXCEL in the future.
