NEXCEL Organized a Meeting with China Building Materials Federation

On April 14, NEXCEL team paid a visit to China Building Materials Federation (CBMF) for an exchange meeting. Four participants from CBMF, led by Shi Hongwei, Deputy Secretary General of CBMF and Director of Science and Technology Department, and Luo Ning, Deputy Director of Science and Technology Department, and three participants from NEXCEL led by Dr. Li Juan, Program Director of NEXCEL exchanged views on future cooperation in the fields of research projects organizing and resources sharing.
During the meeting Dr. Li Juan introduced NEXCEL's establishment background, operation structure and core functions, key tasks, in particular the latest released 2022 Program Guideline. She expressed special thanks to CBMF for their support to the promotion of NEXEL and the Program Guideline. She pointed out that CBMA, as the operator of NEXCEL, has a long and deep cooperation with CBMF for years. She noted that as CBMF plays an important role in leading the industry development, she hopes NEXCEL get continuous support and work in depth with CBMF in various fields including research program, standard formulation as well as advocacy and training of nonmetallics in the future.
Deputy Secretary General Shi Hongwei firstly extended a warm welcome to Li Juan and her team and pointed out that in the international context of low-carbon development, green and environmentally friendly nonmetallic materials have a broad future. CBMF gathered many resources of large company members as well as outstanding scientists in the building materials sector, which boasts clearly complementary advantages in numerous fields. She suggested that the two sides carry out further cooperation covering expert think tanks, research resources and promotion platforms.
Deputy Director Luo Ning introduced the CBMF’s Expert Committee and its branch divisions. He also put forward professional suggestions on NEXCEL's 2022 Program Guideline.
This meeting enhanced mutual understanding between NEXCEL and CBMF, and laid a good foundation for in-depth cooperation in the future. The two parties will, based on their respective resource advantages, identify cooperation opportunities and strengthen cooperation focused on program, talents, technology and promotion to help achieve China’s "Dual Carbon" goal.
