Release of NEXCEL 2022 Program Guideline and Call for Proposals

In order to meet the world's most pressing challenges of energy, climate and materials, and expand the deployment of petroleum-based nonmetallic materials, Saudi Aramco and China Building Materials Academy jointly established Nonmetallic Excellence and Innovation Center for Building Materials (NEXCEL) in January 2022. As Saudi Aramco’s first nonmetallic materials innovation center in Asia after UK and the USA, NEXCEL is committed to accelerating the use of petroleum-based materials and providing more sustainable solutions in the building and construction sector.
According to NEXCEL's vison and objectives, a Program Fund has been set up to support scientific and technological innovation in seven focused areas, including Waterproofing & Repair Materials, Insulation & Composite Cladding, Special Mortars/Concrete, Flooring and Pavement for Road & Bridges, Fibers, Rebars and Fiber Composites(FRPs), Admixtures & Construction Chemicals as well as Paintings & Others.
Today NEXCEL released its 2022 Program Guideline to call for Technology Development and Acceleration (TDA) Project Proposals and Small Fund Project Proposals. The deadline for submission is by May 5, 2022. The Project Proposal Form is available for downloading on the Download Center.
